Yep, theas are some pics of the HO quad motor I got from a junkyard in Lansing. They supposidly sold me a good motor, but the head is cracked. So I called them up and they got me a good head. Just gotta go pick it up. Then I can start cleaning up the ports a little bit on the good head and at the same time have a look at the bottom end to make shure nothing is wrong there either.

Purdy cam cover!
This is purely a poser mod. I put the HO cam cover on the stock motor in the car. Hey, at least I got the HO motor to put in! Thats more than some people can say! |

The intake ports on a 086 head aren't any bigger than the LO in my car originaly, but the exhaust ports are way different! |
Cams and cam housings.
I could put theas on the stock motor... But, its a bugger to do and I may as well wait for the whole motor. And a quick word of advice; if you ever take off the cam housings on a quad 4, make shure you keep the follower buckets in the right holes. The cam lobes and followers wear in together and swaping them around can ruin the cams and followers realy easy.

I wanted to use the Photo Stitch function of my camera, so I took a series of shots of the underside of my car on the hoist at work. Turned out rather well I think.

Yea, I realy need to learn to organize better. But its still cool to see all the parts and tools in the picture. Try and see if you can identify all the stuff in the picture. |
